Practical guide
How to record your first sessions
An approved session is a paid session. This guide covers what the quality team checks in each video, from equipment to final upload.
Equipment
What you need
You do not need a professional camera. Stability and the correct point of view are essential for approval.
Compatible mobile
iPhone 12 or higher, Galaxy S21 or higher.
Head mount
A secure head strap, with the phone at forehead height.
Good lighting
Front or upper light without strong backlight.
Battery and space
Check out enough battery and storage before you start.

Recording
Step-by-step session guide
Repeat this flow throughout the recording to keep the approval rate high.
01
Open the campaign
Choose the activity in the dashboard and read its specific instructions before you start.
02
Test 30 seconds
Record half a minute, watch it and check framing, focus, lighting and audio.
03
Record the task
Follow the duration requested in the app and record the real task.
04
Send and Track
Upload over Wi-Fi, check the status and address any issues identified in the review.
Always do this
- Attach the phone to the head with the holder, rear camera facing the hands
- Record in a well-lit environment, preferably with natural light or ceiling light on
- Keep both hands visible during task execution
- Run the task from start to finish without skipping steps
- Speak naturally describing what you are doing when the campaign asks for audio
- Check out battery, free space and connection as per application instructions
Never do it.
- Record with phone screens or notifications visible
- Film other people’s faces, children, documents or passwords
- Repeat the same scene to inflate recording time
- Let the camera stand pointing at nothing
- Record in dark, shaky environment or with loose support
- Exceed the limit specified for the task
Review your session before uploading
Check hands, objects, stability, illumination and continuity. Do not use third party cuts, filters or videos when this contradicts the instructions. Note documents, screens, reflections and voices to the background. If there is exposure of personal data, follow the platform procedure to redo or discard the session. Save the send identifier to follow the analysis.
Before you start
How do you prepare a first-person recording?
Read the task instructions before starting. Adjust the mount, test lighting and check that hands and objects remain visible during the activity. Natural movement and a prepared setting help make the demonstration understandable. Follow the orientation, duration and resolution required by the current task rather than copying another platform’s limits.
