Start with the environment
Before turning on the camera, observe what may appear during the task moves. Remove documents, correspondence with address, cards, chat screens and other personal items. Check mirrors and reflective surfaces: they can show a part of the environment you did not plan to record.
Use a space that you have permission to perform the activity on. A campaign available in the application does not mean permission to shoot any location. When there is doubt about the environment or the presence of others, choose an alternative and clarify the situation before submitting.
People and voices are also part of the recording
Tell who shares the space about the session. Avoid framing other people and keep private conversations out of the capture. Do not count on a later automatic correction to remove faces, names or voices. The tools and treatment procedures vary according to the project.
Ego4D documentation describes consent and de-identification procedures in its research. This shows that privacy requires planning. It does not establish that another platform uses the same procedures or replace reading the campaign terms.
Read what is being authorized
Before you participate, locate the terms and privacy notice of the platform. Look for information about the purpose of collecting, using the material, sharing and channel for questions. If you do not find an essential answer, ask the responsible person before recording.
This checklist is a practical preparation orientation. It neither certifies legal compliance nor describes internal KGeN policies. Avoid interpreting broad expressions as artificial intelligence training as a complete explanation of all possible uses of the video.
Review before sending
Check if any personal data has become visible or audible. If you find something inappropriate, follow the official instructions to discard or redo the session. Do not cut or blur on your own if the campaign does not allow editing. Solving the exposure and maintaining the collection validity are two different checks.
If the file has already been uploaded, use the channel specified by the platform to report the situation. Save the session identifier to facilitate location. Avoid publishing your own video in groups to ask for help, as this may extend the exposure you want to resolve.
Checklist before pressing record
Authorized environment; removed documents; protected screens; checked reflections; other people outside the frame; allowed task; read instructions; confirmed upload channel. Do this review again when changing environment, even if you have recorded smoothly at another time.

Before you start
How can you keep personal information out of task videos?
Before recording, remove documents, mail and screens showing private information from the frame. Inform people sharing the space and avoid recording others without permission. If you do not control the setting, choose an activity in an authorized location. Check video use and retention terms before uploading; do not assume automatic anonymization.
